Helpful Pet Care Information

Should your pet require 24-hour care, you may be asked to transport your pet to one of our local emergency hospitals so that veterinary care is closely monitored throughout the night. Your veterinarian will contact the emergency hospital to assure continuity of care prior to your arrival.

In the event that your pet has an emergency while we are closed, we recommend that you contact one of several emergency hospitals in our area listed below. These clinics are not affiliated with Parkway Veterinary Clinic, but can provide valuable services and guidance.

If you have a question concerning a suspected poisoning, you may call:

The National Animal Poison Control Center
(800) 426-4435

There is a charge for the information they provide, but their assistance is very valuable and used regularly by veterinary clinics to determine the significance of the toxin.
