Dr. Laney Rhymes, our practice owner, hails from the small town
of Epps, Louisiana. He received a BS from Louisiana Tech
University in Animal Science and then moved to Baton Rouge to
attend LSU. In May of 1989, he earned a Doctorate of Veterinary
Medicine from the School of Veterinary Medicine at LSU. He came
to Parkway in October of 1991 and purchased the practice in
July of 1992. Though Dr. Rhymes enjoys many aspects of animal
medicine, his real love is surgery. He is expert in guiding
pets and their concerned owners through the trauma of surgery
and post-operative management. He and Kelli (a marriage made in
vet school!) have 3 children, 2 cats, 1 dog, and a herd of
20+ registered Polled Hereford cattle.

Dr. Kelli Rhymes, a Lake Charles, Louisiana native, attended
Louisiana State University where she majored in microbiology
and minored in chemistry prior to attending veterinary school.
She graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in
1989. Shortly after, she and Laney moved north and joined the
Parkway family. Dr. Kelli Rhymes likes all internal medicine
cases, but especially enjoys the challenge of endocrine
(hormonal) diseases. Dermatology is a second love. Since the
birth of their third child, she has enjoyed the flexibility of
working from home as the bookkeeper and paper-shuffler
extraordinaire!

Adrianne joined Parkway Veterinary Clinic in 1997. She too hails
from Lousiana, though has spent most of her life here in Northern
Virginia. She currently resides in Lake Ridge with her husband,
Chris and her son, Wyatt. When not at the office, you will find Adrianne saving
wildlife on the side of the road, spending time with dear friends,
or hanging around the house with her "boys", and step-daughter,
Casey. They have two "Tazmanian Devils," Charlie and Tucker
(ok...they are dogs), and one cat (who by the way...thinks he's a
dog), Dodger. One of her many passions is to help raise awareness
of Multiple Sclerosis.
